The surroundings

The village “Soup” is situated in the middle of a forest with little traffic passing.
It has only 5 houses which lie dispersed, and thus the B&B itself is very far from any noise.
Nevertheless, there are leisure opportunities, for example a cycle path
on an ancient rail track dating from the beginning of the century, which passes within
50 metre of the B&B. Another possibility is to take one of the many hiking trails
that pass the village. Both Meysemburg and Larochette lie within reach, either on foot,
on bike or by car. Larochette, a town with a historic fortress dating from the 15th
century, also offers a variety of interests. During spring and summer, many events take
place here, including open-air cinema and theatre plays. It is hardly a 5 minutes’ drive
away and thus it is worth a visit during your stay.
Meysemburg offers a fairy-tale castle
from the 19th century which is also worth a short visit. Shopping possibilities
are in the town of Junglinster, a 10 minute’s drive away, and other points of interest
include the castles of Befort and Bourglinster.
The whole of the surroundings are situates
in the so-called Mullerthal, and idyllic countryside which deserves its nickname
“The Little Luxembourg’s Switzerland”. It offers a variety of romantic and idyllic settings,
hiking and biking trails and many other attractions.
Among others, this region is very rich
in culinary attractions. At the B&B we will be glad to point you to the best addresses for
any and every taste, from a small and cosy village café to a luxury restaurant.

A little further away are the City of Luxembourg, again with its fortresses and nightlife
and in the opposite direction, also half an hour’s drive away, is Echternach, a historic
town with a century-old abbey, a shopping mile and a variety of tourist attrations.
